【初二暑假英语日记】July 5th, Monday

Today is the first day of my summer vacation. I feel very excited because I don’t have to go to school anymore. After breakfast, I decided to clean my room. It was a bit messy, so I spent about an hour organizing my books and clothes. I also took out some old toys and put them in a box. Maybe I can give them to a younger cousin later.

In the afternoon, I went to the park with my friend Lily. We played basketball for a while and then sat under a tree, talking about our plans for the summer. She said she wants to learn how to swim, and I hope I can join her. I also want to read more English books during the vacation. I have a few storybooks that I haven’t finished yet.

At night, I watched a movie on TV. It was a comedy, and I laughed a lot. I think this is a good way to relax after a busy day. Before going to bed, I wrote this diary entry. I hope my English will improve a lot this summer.
